Netflix announced today that it has renewed the opaque sci-fi drama The OA and its dark romantic comedy Love for new seasons. The OA, co-created by and starring Brit Marling, was a surprise addition to Netflix’s catalog in December. The show about the afterlife, which largely defies categorization, ended its first season on a cliffhanger that could have very well been the end of its tale. Now, however it’s getting a follow-up which is being deemed “Part II.”
Love meanwhile is far more straightforward. The misanthropic story about the romantic foibles of two people in Los Angeles is from Paul Rust and Judd Apatow. It begins its second season in March, and will have a third.
