New Avengers: Age Of Ultron trailer will tear you apart from the inside
Other than all of the infighting, Clark Gregg’s character getting killed, probably a lot of New Yorkers getting killed, and Iron Man almost getting killed, the first Avengers movie kind of made being on a superhero team seem like a lot of fun. They got to beat up aliens, say quippy Joss Whedon dialogue, and spend some time near Tom Hiddleston. The first trailer for Age Of Ultron ditched that fun for a lot of serious talk about strings and evil robots, but then Marvel eased up on that with an extended trailer that featured some much-needed chillaxing from The Avengers. Now, though, Marvel has another proper trailer, and things are back to looking grim.
There isn’t a ton here that’s completely new, but there are some longer takes of things we saw in the other trailer. There’s more of the Hulk fighting Iron Man, a longer-ish glimpse of whoever Andy Serkis is playing, and some more shots of Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch doing magic stuff. The things that are new, though, are intriguing. Who is that woman in the cave? What’s going on with those ominous-looking medical instruments? Why is everybody mad at Tony Stark? Age Of Ultron hits theaters on May 1, so we’ll probably find out around then.
