Keanu Reeves has lots of famous friends (and an enemy or two) in Outcome trailer

People love a comeback story—we’re gearing up for the third season of The Comeback, after all. But people also love stories of famous and perhaps cocky people falling on their faces. (We’re gearing up for a third season of The Comeback, after all.) Outcome, the new film from Jonah Hill coming to Apple TV next month, looking like it could be either, or perhaps a bit of both. In the first trailer, released this morning, we meet Reef Hawk, a movie star played by Keanu Reeves who’s been out of the spotlight for five years. He’s been hiding a heroin addiction with the help of some friends (played by Matt Bomer and Cameron Diaz) and his lawyer (Hill). 

But Reef’s return might be over before it begins. Someone has a video of him doing something bad, which threatened to derail the comeback he’s been planning. This sends him on a quest to make peace with whoever it is from his past that might want to do such a thing to him. We don’t really get any further clues from the trailer, but we do get a glimpse at the rest of Outcome‘s admirable cast: Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Spade, Martin Scorsese, Atsuko Okatsuka, Roy Wood, Jr., Welker White, Kaia Gerber, and Ivy Wolk round out the ensemble. Will one of them betray Reef Hawk? We’ll find out a few days after Easter; Outcome premieres on Apple TV on April 10.
