For basically the entirety of its quest to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount’s behavior has been messy and dramatic. The company swooped in to snag the company right out from under Netflix’s nose, and recently threatened to choose Texas (or Tennessee, or Georgia) if California didn’t sufficiently accommodate them. This latter stunt was apparently enough to spook Governor Gavin Newsom, but California attorney general Rob Bonta appears unfazed by Paramount. In fact, the attorney general cancelled a planned talk today over the corporation’s game playing.
