ABC's medical comedy returns later this month and brings Scott Foley along for the ride again.

J.D. and Turk head to couples therapy in the Scrubs season 2 trailer

There’s not a single day that goes by without plenty of shenanigans at Sacred Hospital—and thank goodness for that. Actually, we can thank BFFs Dr. John “J.D.” Dorian (Zach Braff) and Dr. Chris Turk (Donald Faison), who remain as goofy as ever in the Scrubs revival series, which premiered earlier this year. ABC wasted no time bringing the show back, considering season two arrives later this month.

In the first trailer for the sophomore run, J.D.—who is now in charge, alongside his ex-wife, Dr. Elliot Reid (Sarah Chalke), and Turk, believe it or not—struggles to figure out how to help his former mentor, Dr. Perry Cox (John C. McGinley). He’s also fully dating Charlie (Rachel Bilson). Not to be left behind, Elliot reunites with her own former boyfriend, Sean Kelly (Scott Foley). As the doctors deal with interpersonal issues, they train new interns and try to maintain order at Sacred Heart. J.D. and Turk are also clearly taking a fresh look at their longtime friendship by, what else, doing their own version of couples therapy.

Bill Lawrence, who created the original Scrubs, returns in an executive producer capacity. The revival is developed and showrun by The Cleveland Show‘s Aseem Batra. The series co-stars Judy Reyes, Ava Bunn, Robert Maschio, Neil Flynn, Christa Miller, Michael James Scott, and Vanessa Bayer.

Season two premieres on September 30. You can check out the trailer below:
