Star Wars’ Mos Eisley cantina is coming to Hollywood

Chalmun’s Cantina is making its way to Hollywood to satisfy cravings for a blue milk White Russian. Scum and Villainy is a pop-up based on the bar from the original Star Wars—not the bar in The Force Awakens, that’s totally different—that will open sometime this winter. Only Bothan spies know for sure the location of the new bar, although it has been confirmed that the zip code is 90028. According to Variety, the Scum and Villainy cantina will be “nestled less than 12 parsecs away in the wretched hive of Hollywood, CA,” because despite what that Corellian Han Solo tells you, a parsec is a unit of distance, not time.

Patrons will be able to stroll up to the bar from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., but seated, two-hour reservations can be made from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. or 8:30 to 10:30, with afternoon seating available on Saturdays. Those who make reservations will receive two cleverly named drinks, a souvenir pint class and a Scum and Villainy challenge coin, which this writer will assume is a pog. A word of advice, though—do not tug on the bartender’s shirt. If you want a drink, use your words.

Temporary pop-up bars and restaurants have become quite popular for those looking for a healthy serving of nostalgia and overpriced drinks. A Saved By The Bell-themed restaurant—made up to look like The Maxx—opened to long lines in Chicago earlier this summer and features food that’s “more ambitious than it had to be, for better or worse.” Also in Chicago, The Whistler touted last winter that it would be transforming into the Star Wars cantina to coincide with the release of The Force Awakens. Judging from the photos of sweaty, bearded nerds that packed the place, though, the main thing it had in common with Star Wars was that it smelled worse on the inside.

Droid activist groups are currently planning a peaceful protest.
