Stela exclusive: A young girl attempts the impossible in A Place In The Heart

In a fantasy world overtaken by an endless winter, one young girl and her pet rabbit embark on a journey to change the weather in George Kambadais’ A Place In The Heart, one of the weekly series published on the digital comics app Stela. Callie’s mission to find the sacred stone that will stop the snow and save her village continues in this week’s Chapter Three, and as these preview pages show, her expedition is starting to take a toll on her and her pet.

Kambadais uses the vertical scrolling format to immerse the reader in the frigid environment, and the overwhelming cool blue sets a strong point of contrast for the final image, which takes the visuals and the story in a different direction with a rush of warm color.
