The devil is in the details (and also people) in new Outcast trailer
Entertainment Weekly debuted the trailer for Robert Kirkman’s new TV series, Outcast, which will be on Cinemax. Based on the comic book series by Kirkman and artist Paul Azaceta, the story focuses on a man (Patrick Fugit) who, as a young boy, suffered at the hands of a demon via his possessed mother. Now armed with some manner to fight back against the horde, he’s confronting the hellish beasts and seeking to rid their claim over the people of his small town. Is it possible that Kirkman will deliver another horror show that gets under people’s skin and haunts the pop culture landscape like his Walking Dead property? Only time will tell.
There was generally a good buzz about the pilot when it was shown at SXSW. In addition to Kirkman overseeing the project, the pilot was directed by Adam Wingard (You’re Next, The Guest), who is bringing his own pedigree with uncomfortable horror. The cable channel believes in the show so much that it’s already been renewed for another season.
Entertainment Weekly also debuted this fairly creepy, if cryptic, poster for the series:
People can get the hell scared into them when Outcast premieres on June 3, 2016 on Cinemax.
