The Dodos have always had a sweet sound in their music, but it's almost always been accomplished with an acoustic guitar. Enter Magik Magik Orchestra, who joined The Dodos for a beautiful rendition of "The Ocean." It's one of the tracks from The Dodos' upcoming album, Carrier, due out Aug. 27 on Polyvinyl Records. The strings are a moving addition to the sweetly sad song. There's also a nice tidbit at the beginning of the clip explaining the collaborators' creative process.
The Dodos are launching a massive tour this fall in support of Carrier. Dates are below.
