The Last Of Us continues to flesh out its post-apocalyptic world in the second season. Eugene, a character never seen but only mentioned in The Last Of Us Part II video game, will be a more prominent character in the television adaptation. Joe Pantoliano has been cast in the role as a patrolman in the Jackson, Wyoming community where Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Joel (Pedro Pascal) now live. Eugene is mentioned as one of the rare individuals who died of natural causes (at age 73) in the violent and dangerous terrain of the new world.
