The next Mission: Impossible gets its own silly subtitle
Not to be outdone by Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, Tom Cruise and other members of the Mission: Impossible cast and crew revealed that the upcoming fourth installment of the super-spy franchise will boast the much more awkward title Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol. "One of the things I always wanted for the franchise was for it not to have a number afterwards," Cruise said. Yes, this is much more dignified. (Also, Cruise claims that the M:I films do not count as sequels, because he's "never done sequels," so ehhhh?) The news probably comes as a disappointment to Goldie Hawn, who will now have to rethink her treatment for the long-awaited follow-up to her 1984 comedy, where Hawn will play a ditzy former State Department official who comes back from the dead to haunt various members of Congress and remind them what democracy means.
