The Oscars will be in the newly renamed Dolby Theatre for the next 20 years
The bankruptcy of Kodak may have robbed Hollywood's famed Kodak Theatre of its moniker, but everything else about it will stay the same—most importantly, the fact that the Oscars will hang around there for the foreseeable future, just like that guy in the smelly Batman costume who keeps trying to pee at the Jamba Juice. As announced via press release, the owners of the facility have just closed a deal to house the Academy Awards there for the next 20 years, taking place in the newly renamed Dolby Theatre. Prepare for jokes next year about how the Oscars will now be far more "compressed." Or maybe just that one.
