The Teddy Grahams box redesign is an insane voyage to nowhere

Teddy Grahams recently went through a rebranding, replacing the anthropomorphized bear mascot who looked vaguely like their snacks with one who doesn’t. And in addition to the somewhat creepy looking dead-eyed spokesbear, the new box design comes with activity suggestions on the back. That’s pretty standard for kids’ snack boxes, but Teddy Grahams seems to have cheaped out when it comes to its activity instructions. For instance, Twitter user @StamperTV gently pointed out a few problems with the Teddy Grahams guide to making a paper airplane:

As The Daily Dot notes, the useless paper airplane guide is even more frustrating when you consider how many people were probably involved in the Teddy Grahams redesign and had to sign off on it. Ultimately, the box’s purpose seems to be simply to remind kids that paper airplanes exist rather than actually show them how to make one. And the formless paper airplane design isn’t alone. Other boxes (including this one that we may or may not have grabbed from our own kitchen) have similarly simplistic designs:

The music bottle instructions are at least slightly more fully formed, although not by much. There’s also a note at the bottom of the box instructing parents to visit the TEDDY YouTube channel for more “discovery ideas.” The box gives no URL, however, and finding the channel proves more challenging than it sounds. As far as we can tell, no such YouTube channel actually exists. That begs the question of whether Nabisco accidentally forgot to set one up or intentionally banked on the fact that no one gets their website recommendations (or paper airplane guides) from the back of a snack box.
