The biggies
The Better Sister (Prime Video, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
“My husband has been murdered,” Chloe (Jessica Biel) coolly says while looking at her reflection in the mirror in the trailer for The Better Sister, a thriller adapted from Alafair Burke’s novel. She then teams up with her estranged sister (played by Elizabeth Banks) to figure out the culprit’s identity. The A.V. Club‘s review of the show publishes Wednesday.
Dept Q. (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)
Matthew Goode stars in this Slow Horses-esque Scottish drama as a cranky detective with PTSD who tries to solve cold cases from a shabby basement office. The ensemble of this series, which was created by The Queen’s Gambit‘s Scott Frank, includes Kelly Macdonald, Chloe Pirrie, and Kate Dickie. Look for The A.V. Club‘s review on Thursday.
