Zelda: Majora’s Mask to meet with a new fate on 3DS next spring

After months and months and months of teasing, Nintendo has finally announced that yes, it is remaking The Legend Of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for the Nintendo 3DS. The word came during yesterday’s Nintendo Direct live broadcast, where Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said of the project, “As we work on the remake version, we set out to maintain the original level of challenge while keeping the game accessible for anyone, so we also focused on making sure the gameplay experience was as smooth as possible.” Besides that vague tidbit and a slightly less vague release date of “spring 2015,” no other details were mentioned. Nintendo previously remade Ocarina Of Time, Majora’s Mask’s Nintendo 64 predecessor, on the 3DS, and from the looks of the new footage, the two revamps are predictably sharing quite a bit of material, like a cartoony Link who is more detailed than any other character in the game.
