On March 31, Bruce Springsteen will begin his Land of Hope and Dreams Tour at the Target Center in Minneapolis, but the Boss plans to arrive in the Twin Cities early. This Saturday, he’ll give a performance at the Minnesota Capitol in St. Paul, during the city’s No Kings rally, where more than 80,000 people are expected to gather. “You want to try to meet the moment,” Springsteen told the Minnesota Star Tribune yesterday. “The No Kings movement is of great importance right now. When you have the opportunity to sing something where the timing is essential and if you have something powerful to sing, it elevates the moment, it elevates your job to another level. And I’m always in search of that.” Senator Bernie Sanders, actress Jane Fonda, and singer-songwriters Joan Baez and Maggie Rogers are also scheduled to appear at the St. Paul rally alongside Springsteen.
