CBS All Access to put a dark spin on fairy tales, since nobody's done that in a while

According to Deadline, Scream writer and The Following creator Kevin Williamson is heading to the CBS All Access streaming service with Tell Me A Story, a “psychological thriller” based on classic fairytales. However, rather than regular fairytales, these will be “dark and twisted” takes on them that will probably be all serious and adult. The show is set in New York, and it will turn The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack And The Beanstalk into an “epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge, and murder.” The show already has a straight-to-series order, but it doesn’t seem to have a premiere window you.

In addition to being based on dark and twisted versions of fairytales, Tell Me A Story is also based on a Spanish show of the same name. Deadline shared a trailer of that version, which you can see below.
