Paul McCartney to play two intimate shows in LA next week

Paul McCartney isn’t done doing low-key shows. After his Bowery Ballroom gigs in Brooklyn and a no-phones event at the Santa Barbara Bowl last year (where he played “Help!” in full for the first time since 1965), he’s chosen to return to Southern California once again. On March 27 and 28, he’ll play at the Fonda in Los Angeles, a 1200-person capacity venue on Hollywood Boulevard. Registration through Fair AXS is now open, and no more than two tickets will be allotted per customer. Tickets for the Santa Barbara Bowl show last fall sold for as high as $600, as fans hoped to see McCartney at a venue smaller than his normal stadium/arena landing spots. Attendees at The Fonda will be required to secure their phones in Yondr pouches for the duration of each performance but remain pin possession of their phones at all times, per a press release.

In 2025, McCartney reignited his Get Back Tour, traveling across North America for the first time in three years. Last month, Amazon Prime released Man on the Run, Morgan Neville’s documentary about the formation and success of Wings after the Beatles’ 1970 breakup. In her review, Tara Bennett called the film a “story of personal grief and resurrection” that “successfully contextualizes Paul McCartney’s post-Beatles reinvention.”
