The surviving members of Queen had a lot of trouble getting their Freddie Mercury biopic off the ground, mostly because original star Sacha Baron Cohen had a different vision for it than they did, but things seemed to get back on track when director Bryan Singer hired Mr. Robot star Rami Malek to star. Now, Entertainment Weekly has shared the first image of Malek as Mercury, and the resemblance is pretty incredible. Granted, the tight pants and mustache are doing a lot of the work, but he’s also doing the right pose and making the right face. You’ll have to click that link in order to see it, but just look at the picture above, imagine that guy looking a bit more like the guy from Mr. Robot, and you’ll have a good idea of what to expect.

The Entertainment Weekly story points out that the singing scenes in the movie—which is titled Bohemian Rhapsody, because you might as well take the obvious route—will feature a mix of Malek’s own voice and the real Freddie Mercury. That means his resemblance to the real Mercury will hopefully go a bit further than his ability to pull off a mustache and tight pants.
