Full The Audacity introduces a bunch of captivating, horrible Silicon Valley monsters

Silicon Valley has one of the highest concentrations of hyperwealthy people on the planet, which should make it unsurprising that ethics or even plain good taste are not in high supply. The first full-length trailer for AMC’s upcoming series The Audacity makes it clear who its characters are from the jump. “Fear impedes innovation. I call that ‘self-police brutality,'” says Billy Magnussen’s Duncan Park in a boardroom at the start of the clip, to which someone responds, “Tech lives matter.” Got it?

The Audacity comes from Jonathan Glatzer, whose time on Succession is clearly being put to good use here. Zach Galifianakis’ Carl Bardolph has a God complex and still doesn’t feel appreciated enough. Even those without the tech jobs but who exist in this orbit are not innocent. Sarah Goldberg’s Dr. JoAnne Felder describes her job as keeping “these billionaire manchildren sane enough to make that kind of money.” Lucy Punch as Lili Park-Hoffsteader is policing what her daughter eats in front of a whole pool party. And that’s not even getting into what the characters played by Simon Helberg, Rob Corddry, Meaghan Rath, Paul Adelstein, Everett Blunck, Thailey Roberge, and Ava Marie Telek are up to. We do know that Randall Park will guest star in the season as Gabe, a “qualm-free CFO of a data mining operation.” He must have a pretty good therapist to be so qualm-free.

The first episode of The Audacity premieres on AMC and AMC+ on April 12 at 9 pm. New episodes premiere weekly after that.
