The Boys prepares for the endgame in final season trailer

There comes a time in every Boy’s life where they must become fascist men. That time came during the last season of The Boys, when Homelander (Anthony Starr) became the de facto leader of the U.S., with no less than the President of the United States swearing allegiance to the super Nazi and his army of Übermensch. Unsurprisingly, it has led to a very ICE-themed trailer for the upcoming fifth and final season of the superhero satire, which continues to look more and more like reality.

Here’s the synopsis:

In the fifth and final season, it’s Homelander’s world, completely subject to his erratic, egomaniacal whims. Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie are imprisoned in a “Freedom Camp.” Annie struggles to mount a resistance against the overwhelming Supe force. Kimiko is nowhere to be found. But when Butcher reappears, ready and willing to use a virus that will wipe all Supes off the map, he sets in motion a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it. It’s the climax, people. Big stuff’s gonna happen.

Homelander behind the Resolute Desk, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) going full Venom, Black Noir hosting a podcast, and Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), wondering if his fascist father is doing “some kind of incest thing” with him, all scream of Trump’s America. We’ll just continue thinking it’s a coincidence that Project 2025 architect Russ Vought rose to prominence only a few years after The Man from Vought (Giancarlo Esposito) appeared on the show.

The Boys return for the fifth and final time on Prime Video on April 8 with a two-episode premiere.
