Warner Bros. cancels Blade Runner 2049 red carpet after Las Vegas shooting
Earlier today, Open Road Films announced that it would be canceling the Las Vegas premiere of Marshall, the Chadwick Boseman-starring Thurgood Marshall biopic, in the wake of the city’s recent mass shooting. Now, Warner Bros. is doing the same for this week’s Blade Runner 2049 premiere event in Hollywood, with the studio releasing a statement saying it will no longer be holding the usual red carpet festivities. Instead, there will most likely be a smaller Blade Runner 2049 screening for the filmmakers, cast, and special invited guests. This comes from Deadline, which says that an after-party will most likely be canceled as well.
