Jackie Earle Haley has a thing for deconstructions of the superhero genre, having starred as Rorschach in Zack Snyder’s adaptation of Watchmen an The Terror in Amazon’s The Tick. Obviously Watchmen is a darker commentary of the superhero idea while The Tick is a more biting, satirical parody, but they both have a lot to say about the genre.
