Last year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner turned into a whole big thing, with stupid asshole Donald Trump throwing a preemptive fit at the idea of having to rub shoulders with people who aren’t his usual herd of sycophants and announcing his own counter-rally on the same day as the annual event. There’s really no reason to expect anything different this year, especially now that the White House Correspondents’ Association has announced that Daily Show correspondent Michelle Wolf is hosting the dinner. In its announcement, which comes from Deadline, the association notes that Wolf had “stints on Wall Street and in science” and that she has a “self-made, feminist edge”—most of which sounds like stuff Trump doesn’t like.
