Puzzlehead

Stephanie Smalls, a brilliant introvert, intends to keep to herself at her new school, despite the best efforts of her eccentric roommate, Lasagna. When the school's pet turtle mysteriously vanishes, Stephanie is unwillingly assigned to investigate its disappearance, and discovers a conspiracy much bigger than anyone anticipated.
