Allison Janney knows what her West Wing character would have told Sean Spicer

The current administration has a pretty clear problem with communication, having torn through four communications directors and two press secretaries within the first eight months of Trump’s presidency. As it turns out, trying to spin the president’s lies isn’t an easy job. Someone who’s familiar with the (fictional) challenges of being the face of a presidential administration is Allison Janney’s West Wing character C.J. Cregg. In the video above, Janney tells us the warning she thinks Cregg would give to Sean Spicer, Anthony Scaramucci, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and everyone else tasked with lying for the president.
