Although Scream 4 went from Entertainment Weekly cover star to quickly forgotten, 27th-place finisher at the box office in just a matter of weeks, anyone who saw the movie already knows it has no idea how and when to just end it already. So don’t count out the possibility of a Scream 5—and in fact, probably count on it, as Harvey Weinstein tells MTV he’s “sure [Wes Craven’s] going to do a sequel.” The reasoning: An ingenious story idea that promises to reinvigorate the franchise all over again. Ha ha, no… It’s simple mathematics. “Foreign is so strong that we’ll do over $100 million worldwide,” Weinstein says. “It’s at $90 now, with about five or six major countries to go and a lot of small ones. So, we’ll probably do $110 million. It’s not the worst thing in the world that ever happened.” DVD pull-quote!
