Though his music has always had a folky sound, Sam Russo has found acceptance among the punks. Whether it’s in part due to his affiliation with labels like Red Scare Industries and Specialist Subject—both of which co-released his most recent album Greyhound Dreams—or because he’s put out splits with The Lawrence Arms’ Brendan Kelly, Russo has made pretty songs for the set that tends to prefer the opposite. The A.V. Club is premiering the video for “Runaways” below, which is half tour journal and half love letter to the scene that Russo now calls home.
