Disney looking to honor SEAL Team Six by making some money off it

Never one to let a marketing opportunity pass it by, Disney has put in a bid to trademark “SEAL Team Six,” the name of the counter-terrorist unit credited with killing Osama Bin Laden, hoping to pay tribute to the anonymous special forces operatives the best way it knows how—by turning a profit. While the trademark has yet to be approved (it’s been pending since it was first filed on May 3, only days after the news broke of Bin Laden’s death), should it go through, it would allow Disney to use the name on everything from clothing, footwear, headwear, toys and games to “entertainment and education services.” Presumably that last division would also include an inevitable movie retelling of the Navy SEALs’ heroic efforts, perhaps as a group of cartoon seals hunting down Osama Bin Walrus in his secret hideout in Fishystan, then locking him in a jail made out of coral reef. Or it could also be something inappropriate.
