Robert Downey Jr. doesn't want to play Wizard Of Oz anymore

Just when Disney had finally settled the ADD-afflicted Sam Raimi and lured him into sitting quietly in the corner, doodling his plans for its Oz, The Great And Powerful prequel, star Robert Downey Jr. has up and fled the room. But rather than yield to the impending crush of Oz-related remakes and sequels, Disney has simply moved down the list of quirky leading men with enviable bone structure to Johnny Depp, who’s so knee-deep in the studio’s franchises already he’s practically making twice-daily cameos in The Hall of Presidents. The only question now is whether starring in Oz could delay Depp’s upcoming The Lone Ranger, and presumably whether Disney will allow him to play Oz as a cross between Paul Lynde and Hitler or something.
