Back in October, R&B star Nelly was reportedly arrested on charges of second-degree rape, with someone accusing him of sexual assault on his tour bus. A lawyer released a statement denouncing the charges, and Nelly himself later reiterated that point and apologized for putting himself in a situation where he “could be victimized by this false and defaming allegation.” Now, TMZ is reporting that the charges have been dropped and the case has been closed due to the accuser’s “refusal to cooperate.” TMZ says the woman didn’t want to press charges against Nelly, with her lawyer saying that “the pressure of accusing a huge star like Nelly was just too much.”
