Ostensibly birthed in Atlanta in 1996, Homestar Runner has been an Internet sensation since the late ‘90s. And though Homestar and the Brothers Chaps took a little break from entertaining the web for the past few years, he’s back with a mild vengeance now, hopefully to bemuse and befuddle a whole new group of fans. Newbs and veterans alike will be into the Vlog Brothers’ “A Brief History Of Homestar Runner,” which takes years of history and in-jokes and condenses that into a speedy four-minute summary of Homestar’s whole elaborate universe. It’s a good primer for anyone new to the series, and another good reminder about why Homestar’s so great for anyone who’s already known that for years.
