Bob Dylan signs deal to write six more books
Bob Dylan has signed a new six-book deal with publisher Simon & Schuster, promising to bring the long-awaited second and third follow-ups his 2004 memoir Chronicles Volume 1. That accounts for two of the six—so what about the other four? According to those in the know, one of them will be based on Dylan’s Sirius XM radio show from 2006 to 2009—which featured Dylan telling jokes and reciting poetry, suggesting Uncle Bob’s Bawdy Limericks could be on its way—but the other three are still up in the air. Although, as this Examiner article points out, back in November it was rumored that the deal included "a book that tells the stories behind some of Mr. Dylan's famous lyrics" and "a book of poetry" in addition to the aforementioned "collection of riffs" from his radio show, and that all seems plausible. Still, it's not too late for Dylan to change his mind. For example, books about teenage girls killing people are big right now. Maybe do that instead?
