Bret Easton Ellis pauses from Twitter trolling to pen monster drama for The CW
Taking a brief respite from self-promoting his indie movie The Canyons with Lindsay Lohan and porn star James Deen, endlessly singing the praises of Fifty Shades Of Grey, and picking a fight with David Foster Wallace's corpse on Twitter, Bret Easton Ellis has engaged himself in something even more monstrous over at The CW, where he will pen the supernatural drama Copeland Prep with his similarly hung-up-on-high-school collaborators, Gossip Girl producer Josh Schwartz and Twilight's Catherine Hardwicke. The show concerns an elite academy whose heightened sense of competition transforms its students into literal monsters, this being a metaphor. Should one of those students be "intensely straight," he will definitely not be played by a gay man.
