Synopsis

The story of a highly educated man struggling with his existence in the modern world and main stream society.While he decided to leave his formal and upper middle class background, education, businesses, and what society dictates as the normal or right way to live, he finds himself following his American Dream and connecting with his true identity and relationship with nature and the outdoor world.Making a living off fly-fishing as a guide, photographer, and writer. As well as listening to his inner voice and passion he has become a steward for the environment, and lives in a simple and humble way spreading the gospel which has become his philosophy for life that is fly-fishing.Along the way examining his conservation concerns, his view of society, and interpreting his own meaning and relation to the term "trout bum".
