Johnny Galecki is coming back for the Roseanne revival

David’s return to the show will, of course, be complicated—as all things Roseanne must be—by the show’s original finale, which stated that he was actually dating Becky the whole time, not Darlene. (Darlene was instead with David’s brother, Mark, played by the late Glenn Quinn.) Of course, that finale also stated that Dan died at the end of the previous season, and John Goodman’s definitely coming back for the new series, so David’s romantic status is probably a relatively minor quibble in the overall scheme.

The new season of Roseanne will air next year; Goodman, Lacy Goranson, Sara Gilbert, Laurie Metcalf, and Roseanne Barr herself—among others—are also all coming back to the Conner family home.
