We’ve covered Crooked Media’s Pod Save America in the past; put together by a team of former Obama White House staffers, the show offers a passionate, “no bullshit” look at the American political landscape and its various bombed-out hovels. Now, the show has been tapped to get the TV series treatment from HBO, with the network reporting today that it’s recruiting hosts Jon Favreau (not that one), Dan Pfeiffer, Tommy Vietor, and Jon Lovett—a former writer for The Newsroom—to transform the show into a series of TV specials.
