As reported by Vulture, Anne Heche recently appeared on an episode of the Allegedly With Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss podcast and told her own #MeToo story about an interaction with Harvey Weinstein. According to Heche, Weinstein allegedly fired her from a Miramax project after she rejected his sexual advances. She says he exposed himself to her, but she “got out of the room before there was any physical contact.”
Heche says she got fired from the project at some point after that, but she was afraid of speaking up about what allegedly happened because of how powerful Weinstein was in the movie industry. “The repercussions of standing up for yourself were as deep and targeted as some of the scars of the women who actually got more physically, unfortunately, involved,” she explained, referencing Weinstein’s alleged history of threatening accusers and sending spies to dig up dirt on them.
