Never mind, Johnny Depp won't be in Wes Anderson's new movie
Although the Internet had already begun steeling itself for the magnitude of whimsy that would arise once Johnny Depp unpacked his penchant for accents and haberdashery inside Wes Anderson's dioramas, it seems all that preparation was for nothing. "You know, the Internet has a way of announcing things on its own," Anderson told The Huffington Post in a flat yet charmingly sincere deadpan, denying those web reports that said Depp would be among the stars of his next, "European" movie, The Grand Budapest Hotel. "In fact, Johnny is somebody who I would love to work with at some point, but he's not going to be in this movie," he added, confirming only that Bill Murray will be in the film that also features Angela Lansbury, unless Angela Lansbury is a fucking liar. That leaves the rest of the cast for the Internet to announce on its own, which we believe will include Candice Bergen, the grown-up twin girls from The Shining, the dog from Air Bud, Al Pacino, Steve Harvey, and Dhani Jepp, India's most popular Johnny Depp impersonator.
