Setting aside, for the moment, his mission to crack the seals of The Baby, The Farting, and The Earthquakes on his Southland Tales prophesy, director Richard Kelly has announced his intentions to tackle more earthly concerns in Corpus Christi. The thriller follows a mentally unstable Iraq War vet who becomes strangely close to his boss, the powerful owner of a supermarket chain, and is describes as Kelly’s first film with no sci-fi or metaphysical elements. No word on whether it will be the first Kelley film where someone doesn’t suffer a massive facial injury.
