Ricky Gervais' "torturing Karl Pilkington with travel" series to debut in U.S. in January

Ricky Gervais’ slow public torment of his specially educated friend Karl Pilkington will once again arrive on American shores, with the Science Channel (ironically enough) purchasing the rights to An Idiot Abroad, the travel series where Gervais and Stephen Merchant send Pilkington to far-flung exotic locales he doesn’t want to see to do things he really resents and learn absolutely nothing.
