The slow seduction of The Dark Knight Rises continues, with the tease that has been this years-long, piece-by-piece reveal of casting rumors, shadowy set photos, and Rorschach-test movie posters reaching an early apotheosis in this incredibly brief teaser trailer. Cobbled together with scenes and dialogue from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, at first glance it appears to be yet another irritating fan-made fake. But at last, there’s finally some new footage, specifically a scene of a hospital bedridden Gary Oldman wheezing out the Internet's collective plea for the Batman to make his return and, more importantly, quick flashes of Tom Hardy in his Bane mask.
