Does it make any sense? -and if it does- why does it take so long?

After 25 years that turned the 'Volksbühne' in to one of the most famous theatres worldwide, the era of the directorship of Frank Castorf is going to an end. The film accompanies his work and the everyday life of this particular theatre during the last season. We see the actors, carpenters, tailors, stageworkers, etc. during their daily routine as well as working on the last monumental play that they are going to perform: "Faust" and are provided with a very rare look behind the scenes.The film also shows them while they are on tour in Paris and Athen.
