Frank Ocean may just write a best-selling novel and design an arena in Sweden next, according to Frank Ocean
After claiming several Grammy nominations, appearing on just about every year-end list, and graduating to shows where it's unlikely anyone will be hit in the face, Frank Ocean—your mom's favorite Odd Future member, next to Taco—is currently making his post-Channel Orange plans with the pragmatism and humility one would expect after such a meteoric rise. "I might not make another album," Ocean tells the Guardian. "I don't intend to stop making music… But I do think it would be fucking legendary if I just made Channel Orange last year, then put out a best-selling novel next year, then, you know, designed an arena in Stockholm in 2014!" Indeed, that would be a real wake-up call to other underachieving musicians who fail to follow up their albums by putting out best-selling novels and then designing arenas in Stockholm, likely because they're lazy. Ocean's Grammy competitors Mumford And Sons have already responded by pledging to build their own stadium, or at least a huge pile of discarded vests.
