Many of you have heard and are asking about it, so we wanted to post something official: Keith Phipps is no longer editor of The A.V. Club, after eight years of guiding the ship and 15 of being involved with it in some capacity (including a spell as Bill Clinton’s body double for Onion photographs).
We generally don’t discuss staffing changes here, but all the chatter after Keith mentioned it on his Tumblr yesterday (and especially the nice things you all said about him) reminded us of the uniqueness of the A.V. Club community—our readers and staff often share a personal connection, so we wanted to let you all know about it.
Keith—along with original A.V. Club editor Stephen Thompson—leaves a great legacy. We wish him all the best in the future, and rest assured that The A.V. Club will continue uninterrupted, bringing you the best pop-culture coverage around.
