Naked Raygun reunites "for good"
Seminal Chicago punk band Naked Raygun announced on its website last week that is back "for good." The group, which released several classic albums during its run in the '80s, reunited in November of 2006 to play at Riot Fest in Chicago. Well, kind of reunited; founding guitarist John Haggerty, the primary architect of the band's sound, didn't participate in November and isn't part of this new incarnation. Bill Stephens, who replaced Haggerty during Raygun's twilight, is once again filling his role here. The rest of the group is rounded out by vocalist Jeff Pezzati, bassist Pierre Kezdy, and drummer Eric Spicer.
The band will play its first post-reunion show in Chicago in April, with plans to tour after that. A live DVD of its performance at Riot Fest will be released in June.
