Roger Harvey takes to the skies on his debut solo album

Roger Harvey has done some serious touring considering he doesn’t have a full-length album under his belt. Over the past year Harvey has opened for the likes of Against Me! and The Menzingers, all without a record backing him up. That will all change on October 9, when Black Numbers will release his solo debut, Twelve Houses. The A.V. Club is premiering one of the songs from Twelve Houses, “Arrow/Plane.” The track plays like a long-lost Neutral Milk Hotel song, but with Harvey’s voice subbing in for the warbly Jeff Mangum. It’s as ornate and orchestrated as Harvey’s other work with Pittsburgh’s White Wives, but with more hushed, lush tones.

Pre-orders for Twelve Houses are available now through Black Numbers’ store.
