Synopsis
A love story in the shadow of a crime. It's summertime in Kumla, Sweden, and the year is 1967. 17-year-old Mauritz longs to get away from his small hometown and see the world. Together with his friends, and through music (Bob Dylan, Spencer Davis and other staples of the '60s), he dreams of an exciting life somewhere else. This is also the summer when he starts a tentative relationship with Signhild next door, and when the little town of Kumla is rocked by a shocking crime. This is the summer when everything will change. A delicately told coming-of-age drama, focusing more on the people and the relationships behind the crime than police work. Solid acting and moody cinematography. It's finally here, the adaption of Håkan Nesser's best-selling 2002 novel.
