With ’90s nostalgia at an all-time high, it’s easy to forget about the beloved cartoon characters of the ’80s. While the Internet fondly reminisces over Tommy Pickles and Rocko, poor Lion-O is mopping up spills in a supermarket. The Little Rascals are reuniting for no apparent reason, but Skeletor and the Care Bears are stuck making cold calls to make ends meet. Animator Steve Cutts shines a light on these former stars’ struggles in “Where Are They Now?” an animated short narrated by Jessica Rabbit, whose love for Roger has dwindled as much as her weight has skyrocketed.
