As reported by Deadline, Lily Collins has signed on for the “highly coveted role” of Elizabeth Kloepfer in Joe Berlinger’s Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, And Vile, a thriller/biopic about serial killer Ted Bundy. Kloepfer was a longtime girlfriend of Bundy’s who lived with him while he hid his murder spree from her, and for a long time she even refused to accept that he had been killing people behind her back. The movie will be told from her perspective, suggesting that it will more about the terror of living with a guy who is secretly a serial killer than it will be about the actual serial killing.
As we reported way back in May, Zac Efron will be playing Bundy himself. At the time, a producer referred to Efron playing the role as “perfect casting” because “he can play both the depth and the charm that this guy had in equal measures.”
